Bio: Dr. Robert P. Drucker works closely with students as they progress through their medical school careers. Since 1994 he has been the director of pediatric student education, coordinating the pediatric clerkship for all second-year medical students and the acting internships for fourth-year students who choose to take that elective. After graduating cum laude with a degree in applied mathematics from Harvard, he earned his medical degree from Duke. He was a resident in pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he also spent a year in pediatric nephrology. He joined the pediatrics faculty at Duke in 1987 and is currently an Associate Dean for Medical Education. Dr. Drucker’s clinical interests are in general pediatrics and in pediatric infectious diseases, and he serves as an inpatient attending in both roles. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society and has received multiple teaching awards.
