Aquifer Accessibility Update — WCAG 2.2 AA Alignment

Written by Katie Hamon | Apr 16, 2026 3:03:42 PM

We’re pleased to share an update on Aquifer’s continued commitment to accessibility across the Aqueduct platform.

As part of our alignment with updated Title II ADA requirements, we’ve completed enhancements to support WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA standards, strengthening accessibility across core areas of the platform.

Key Enhancements

  • Improved screen reader support through clearer structure and labeling

  • Full keyboard accessibility for all interactive elements

  • Enhanced focus visibility for non-mouse navigation

  • Updated color and contrast to meet WCAG AA guidelines

Our Approach

Accessibility is built into our development and quality assurance processes. We use a combination of automated tools and manual testing with assistive technologies (including screen readers) across major browsers and devices to validate performance and usability.

VPAT Availability

Our updated Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) reflects conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA as of the date of publication.

If your institution would like a copy for review, please request access through Aquifer’s Trust Center.

Accessibility is an ongoing priority at Aquifer. We continue to integrate accessibility best practices into new feature development to ensure the platform evolves in alignment with both user needs and regulatory expectations.
