Summer Launch: The Aquifer Advantange

Thank you to everyone who joined us on August 27th for our Summer Launch event! If you missed it or want to revisit the highlights, check out the recording and key takeaways below. We covered the following core ideas during the launch.

  • Intro and Agenda: We kicked off with an introduction by CEO Leslie Fall, MD, and an overview of the day’s topics.
  • Aquifer Learning System (plan, learn, assess, analyze): Attendees discovered how new releases work together, and what you can do to capitalize on them throughout the educational cycle, as outlined below.
  • Planning & Course Building
    • (1) AI Assistant to search for content, including Cases and Scripts.
    • Starting with the (2) Content Library or an existing (3) Course, use the new Course Builder to compile content, set dates, add students and educators, see key info, and set reminders.
  • Using Assessment…
    • (4) Calibrate formative assessment with recently released instant feedback.
    • Encourage students to use PracticeSmart custom quizzes for self-assessment
  • …and Data to Inform Learning
    • Get a quick overview with (5) Educator Dashboards—with recent Snapshots & Trends and the Content Usage Log cards, plus the new Student Usage Log card—allowing you to monitor usage and engagement and see trends.
    • Customize (6) Reports to meet your needs. The included comprehensive data for course, student, and program levels, plus the new UI and reports, give you even more insight and make it easier to see data holistically.
  • Learning and Feedback
    • New Virtual Patient Encounters to provide students with the opportunity to build interview skills as they engage with a virtual patient. Individualized, research-based feedback after the interview is complete creates a true virtual precepting experience. This prototype exists in the following cases: Geriatrics 15 and Pediatrics 12, found in (3) Courses or the (2) Content Library.
  • Wrap-Up and Q&A: The session closed with an engaging Q&A, addressing attendee questions and sharing expert perspectives.
