Dr. Shobhina Chheda Starts as New Aquifer Consortium President

 

We are pleased to announce that Shobhina Chheda, MD, MPH, officially assumed the role of Consortium President on July 1, 2025.Dr. Chheda brings extensive leadership experience in medical education to her new position. She currently serves as Professor and Associate Dean of Medical Education at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She has been an active member of the Aquifer Consortium since 2017 and most recently served as Academic Director for Adoption and Use.In her new role, Dr. Chheda will lead Aquifer’s continued evolution in meeting the changing landscape of health professions education. Her vision for educational technology innovation and strategic plans to advance AI applications in health professions education align perfectly with Aquifer’s mission to deliver exceptional education through collaborative development and research.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Stephen Scott, MD, MPH for his outstanding leadership over the past three years. Dr. Scott’s guidance during this transition period has been and will continue to be invaluable, and we look forward to his continued leadership within the Consortium in his new capacity as the MD/DO Student Advisory Group Lead.
